Lytham St.Annes, part of the Fylde Coast is situated in the county of Lancashire in northwest England.
For the most part, Lytham St.Annes is a post Victorian/Edwardian seaside town which over the years has retained much of its quaintness and old fashioned charm of a bygone era. On a Royal visit in 1911, King George V declared, 'St.Annes is a beautiful place'. It wasn't long before people came in droves to the newly popular resort. Many wealthy industrialists moved in and built successful businesses. Hotels and houses were quickly erected to cope with the heavy demand of people. |

Southport, the town has its roots set in maritime history whose economy
was founded on fishing and shrimping.
Rich in heritage, Lytham St.Annes is still very much the same in architectural structure, with contemporary fixtures. From the pharmacy, to the grocery store, all the usual modern day features you would expect are housed in historically listed buildings. The trademark Lytham Windmill, built in 1805, which has now been fully restored, can still be found on the shoreline on 'Lytham Green'. St.Annes pier is still open daily offering a whole range of entertaining activities.
